Jim Beam is halting whiskey production at its historic Clermont, Kentucky, facility for most of 2026 in a major pullback that shows just how badly the bourbon business has soured. The distillery, which opened in 1935, will keep bottling what it has already made and let existing barrels age, but it won’t be producing any new bourbon, marking a complete reversal for an industry that bet big on continued growth. Export sales have tanked as a result of President Donald Trump’s tariffs, with Canadian purchases falling by as much as 85 percent during recent trade fights.

Media STILL refuses to acknowledge this is the real reason Canadians are not traveling to the US or buying their goods. They claim it’s the tariffs over and over again and in the case they even bring up the threats of annexation at all it’s only after the fact.
Elbows up.
You’re completely right but the reason they don’t is because they see his threats as non-serious and assume that there’s no way they’d be implemented even if he means them seriously.
Whether they are correct remains the be seen, and Canadians are absolutely right to take the threats seriously and stand up to the insanity.
This is it. We don’t think any of that shits going to come to pass either but it’s the principle. We’re gonna act like it is going to happen until we’re sure it’s not
Follow-up, it’s looking like the insane shit is entirely within the realm of possibility, given Venezuela.
That certainly does change a few things. Literally what’s stopping this guy sending seal team 6 to grab Carney until we agree to be 52st state
