19 November 2025Alena Douhan, the #UN Human Rights Council’s Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures, continues her intense work agenda in #Cuba since her arrival on November 11th.
According to a publication today on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex), in meetings with authorities, academics, and specialists from various sectors, Douhan confirmed the harmful effects of the economic, commercial, and financial #blockade imposed by the #UnitedStates. This blockade has been intensified in recent years with new provisions that have worsened difficulties for the Cuban people.
