It basically says that (1) many people who think of themselves as lazy, actually do a lot and shouldn’t be too hard to themselves and (2) people who are seen as lazy have a reason like depression or not seeing meaning in what they are supposed to do.
It’s not so much a self-help book but rather critical on the societal level. We value efficiency far very much and should put more emphasis on leisure and enjoyment. They have a part on positive psychology, meaning not treating mentally ill people but helping healthy people lead even better lives.
