It shouldn’t. Characters and stories that don’t evolve are just re-runs with different names and faces.

Don’t give this sociopathic fuck more publicity
Ehhhh? I’ve never read the books either, but I find the series silly and a little dull. Of the main cast, Rosamund Pike is decent in it and her character is probably the most interesting. I suspect there are some other good actors, but they’re trapped behind characters that just aren’t compelling. The series would be better without the male lead, who is about as interesting as watching paint dry. Honestly, I suspect the source material also isn’t nearly as good as the book readers claim.
I’ll probably keep watching it, but my bar is pretty low for fantasy shows. I really would forget about it entirely if it disappeared.
I’m a fan of the writer and the original newspaper run (haven’t read his later reboot yet). It’s pretty weird and dark. I wonder if they’re basing the series entirely on the more famous original version, or if they’re adapting things from the other series as well?
ETA: Just watched the teaser and it looks pretty faithful to the original from the small glance we see. Encouraging to see it’s an Argentinian production rather than an American adaptation.
I guess Hulu will just be absorbed entirely by Disney at that point
“I’m not great at endings, so I always want things to kind of go on longer, I guess.”
Kind of obvious from the article. Thankfully, I don’t think it’s happening.
Feels like Dale would definitely have a red hat instead of an orange one in this one. Wonder if they’ll avoid current politics; kind of hard to in today’s Texas.
I’ve apparently been living under a rock and hadn’t heard about this. He’s a predator, my god. How sad for the women he assaulted, and how disappointing for his fans.
The first season was an excellent and incisive critique of capitalism.
The second season is a perfect example of capitalism subsuming all criticism into itself, and by extension both validating and undermining said criticism.
Amazon: Gotta get me some of that Chosen money
Looks melodramatic and by the numbers. And all that unnaturally warm color grading makes it look like Rings of Power… I’ll pass, even though I’m sure the IMDb reviews will all be 9.5
What kind of person follows Bezos on social media? I wouldn’t exactly bet on their good taste and judgment…
