The guy who’s likely to become Canada’s next PM wants to do this too.
The guy who’s likely to become Canada’s next PM wants to do this too.
Well, this is what the anti-vaxxers wanted! Lol
I think a relationship community might have the best answers, but I don’t know what the options for that on Lemmy are.
Have you talked to your friend or your sister about this? (Separately? Together?)
It sounds like you have good relationships with both your friend and your sister, and good relationships are always supported by strong communication.
It’s normal for them to do “couple things”, and it’s normal for you to feel uncomfortable. It’s also normal for them to be unaware (or even to not care) who sees them…the brain doesn’t finish developing until 25!
I think it sounds like you’d be okay with them dating, but they need to tone down the PDA in front of you. It’s reasonable to tell them this and expect this of them.
I think it also sounds like you want to maintain relationships with both of them without feeling like a third wheel. If they’re a new couple, this might be a bit hard. If they’re in the “honeymoon phase”, they’ll probably want to spend all their time together. And time together means “couple things”. The same will probably happen to most of your friends, and to you.
I know that might not sound reassuring, but think of it this way. Yes, it sucks. But it’s not because of anything you did, nor is it really a result of either your sister or your friend “changing” (who they are as people).
I think for me, it’d be enough if the friend would at least text me to say “Hey I’m coming over to spend time with [sister]”. That way, I wouldn’t get my hopes up that he’s coming over to game, haha
Anyways, I’m sorry about the situation you’re in. It sucks. Try not to sweat it too much. This will probably just be an awkward situation that you get to bring up around your sister at future family events.
This is my first time ever seeing anyone suggest this exists, let alone ever seeing anyone say that legitimately.
People inherently do not want groups that come over and violently force their beliefs on the population.
Agreed.
To me, though, there’s a bigger problem with people already here who are violently forcing their beliefs o to others.
Water because anything else is too damn expensive
Someone can hate Windows for their own purposes while still acknowledging that it may be the ideal OS for the average consumer
It answered the question, made me laugh, and boosted engagement so OP would be more likely to get answers from someone else who knew.
I think it’s a winning comment!
It’d be a fairer comparison if we could see Trump without all his makeup
Does this really deserve a post instead of a DM?
All that sounds great. I’m not pro-Uber so much as I’m anti-Taxi (as they exist where I live), lol
In my country, Uber fixed a lot of problems that existed with Taxis.
These all could’ve been solved by a regular taxi company, but I guess there was no incentive to make the product any better to the customers.
Depending on the state and one’s farming capabilities, some people could already be halfway there! At least part of the year
Depends on the area (maybe), but I think it can do either.
Turning Red is very much a time piece for the 90’s, and many Canadians who lived in multicultural cities back then could probably identify with it or at least recognize the cultural references.
This doesn’t seem to hold true for native English speakers. The number of old white North Americans on Facebook who haven’t figured out punctuation, capitalization, or things like their/there/they’re is astounding.
Most Gen Z aren’t children though
And be weary of folks doing the same to you, especially here on Lemmy with all the ‘genocide Joe’ shit or encouraging apathy because of the shit debate.
I’m already quite weary of that!
(“Weary” means tired; you probably meant “wary” which means cautious)
Usually Twinings, but I’ll accept store brand for black tea. Lipton or Tetley for green teas.
What if you create something that you later really hate and don’t want it to exist anymore?
