You mean my representative who manages one of the worst gerrymandered districts in the country who basically told me to go f*ck myself the last three times I authored a diplomatically-toned letter regarding my concerns about the current administration?
Commie blocks have had a lot of improvement over the years. I find it interesting how medium-density mixed use zoning in America, and commie blocks in central and Eastern Europe seem to be converging on the same New Urbanist ideals… also, not sure if this is the best pro-Khrushchyovka content, but I enjoyed Adam Something’s take on them.


agreed. KDE is pretty much the gold standard of the usability versus resource usage tradeoff, IMHO. From what I’ve seen: Websites/Web Browsers = worst offenders.


I wonder how much of this is just modern web apps… even running without a containerized distro and a leaner DE - I still have +90% of my RAM taken up by websites.

I normally carry the anti-billionaire pitchfork, but am totally OK with people like Gabe being ultra-rich, because in his 30+ years in the industry, he has a mostly-positive history of treating his customers and employees well. If other billionaires had half the integrity that Gabe has, capitalism wouldn’t be so bad.
