I had a roommate light a loose wax candle. No holder. Then he left the fucking house. As you can imagine the wax melted onto the table and spread the flame. I saw the light of the flame from the crack of my bedroom door. I was home alone but fortunately I caught it before the fire spread beyond the table.

A part of me couldn’t help but feel like he was trying to kill me.

It’s more the cliche of sex workers saying they’ll do “anything” as a kind of innuendo without incriminating themselves. The joke is playing off the use of the word “anything”

There’s a point where its way too obnoxious but I think it’s fine as long as you find your own space. We all kind of silently claim spots in public spaces like the beach so just claim somewhere that is not too close to other people.

When I want the serenity I go off to the side where no one is. I don’t think it’s a big deal.

I drink just as frequently as I used to but now it’s more wine with dinner or a bottle of wine on a Friday night. Compare that to downing cheap hard liquor after taking like 10 mg of Xanax. I’ve naturally slowed down over the years. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll actually be totally sober one day which is a crazy thought to me. If the trend continues it may eventually happen though.
