I wish someone would call me their dearly beloved ham casserole.
When I bought an actual bedframe. It wasn’t the bed at my parents’ house, it wasn’t the bed that my college dorm owned, and it wasn’t an air mattress I had been sleeping on during my internships. It was an actual bed, a real piece of adult furniture. It wasn’t a small cheap metal frame. It was bulky and adult and real, and I owned it.
I run http://long.cat (but I’m not a web dev, so the cool scrolling bit only works on desktop)
Universal Radio Hacker probably isn’t as simple as you are hoping, but it should be moderately easy and very powerful https://github.com/jopohl/urh
Consider post processing steps if you really need smooth parts. Sandable fillers, special paints, epoxy coatings, or just a bunch of sanding. I’ve had good luck with XTC-3D. It’s an epoxy you paint on that’s specifically designed for smoothing prints.
You could also consider a resin printer if you need smooth. They are their own can of worms, but the resolution and smoothness is good.
I usually just accept the roughness.
This is a community for people who have home servers. 100M is fine for a couple people just web browsing, but that’s not the topic of this discussion.
I run 10G between my desktop and my server because I can easily saturate a 1G connection doing a simple file transfer.
