I’d love a children’s book that helps kids in queer families deal with judgment from their piers. I used to “mask.” I still do on accident. I still use gender neutral terms to refer to my partner because I’m terrified of being othered.
I love this story, I love the pink undertonees. I just want to see a baby flamingo explain why they have two dad’s to another flamingo, sooooo bad now. Not to mention, if it’s in San Diego, Dr. Suess is in our blood. We NEED the book.
“Alleged”? How could you accidentally leave heavy equipment on someone else’s property? They trespassed.
That’s a fair point. I think he turned to the west when he needed leniency at a young age, and then then got more nationalistic as he got older. At the same time, it seems like the plan from the beginning was to retire in China, so it’s a weird situation.
It says “ccp” but the “c” looks like an “o”. I should’ve capitalized it.
I hate that fairly odd parents started as a good show. You ever seen the invader Zim commission?
Sorry, I should have capitalized CCP. I didn’t even think of that lol
I’m guessing that guy from that swords cartoon on Cartoon network that got caught with CP vs. say, the creator of Samurai Jack (even though it’s simulated blood/ “oil”)
edit: it was the creator of magiswords.
Edit 2: I accidentally said Jackie Chan instead of Samurai Jack and NONE of you corrected me. No more drunk comments. I did really like Jackie Chans’ animated adventures, even though it was probably ccp propaganda.
Edit 3: “C C P” not “cop”. I should’ve capitalized it. Didn’t realize the “c” looked like an “o”. Jackie Chan is a shill for the CCP. Still enjoy the old kungfu movies/ animation and think it’s funny he’s a porn star that worked in Hong Kong.
It was more the dicks showing up in class unprompted. Then, it was people sharing links to shock sites. Now we have to worry about people stealing information. That was always a thing, it’s just a lot more common now.
Edit: I also have to admit, I remember helping the teacher enough with their computer to get Admin privileges by using their console. It was literally stuff liking helping them make a PowerPoint full-screen. I’d download games and then dispense them through little known shared files on the network (usually old forgotten projects). I’d also save shortcuts to google proxies. In hindsight, that was exactly the kind of thing they’re probably trying to stop. I was pirating stuff at a young age. I definitely could’ve downloaded malware and shared it with the network.
I said the opposite of what I meant, my bad. I didn’t want to doxx myself and I tripped up.
I meant to say late. Are you gen z and getting old aswell? (Not an insult, I’m legit asking)
I’m the oldest of Gen z (early 1990s). I have two younger siblings who are also Gen Z. Typing was a skill we learned in middleschool/ elementary. When I was about 8, we learned how to use google because it was considered a great resource to find information. By the time my middle sibling was in similar classes, they moved away from Google due to NSFW search results. When my youngest sibling was in school, they worried about shock sites.
They’ve slowly been removing computers from the school curriculum because of fear of outside forces. That includes typing, sadly. This is all coming from someone who grew up in a Plato self self education plan. (Online, self studies)
Monkey brain likes the lights.
Right side of the picture.
I zoomed in on the photoshopped tattoo on the right arm. Not only is the image the first one that pops up on Google when you search, “tribal wolf tattoo,” but MULTIPLE people have it as a real tattoo.
(Sorry for using terrible mobile screenshots)
No, but my Dad’s an engineer, so we don’t really talk about anything, lol. We work on projects together for fun. Like building barns or drones (we’re on a ranch). The only person I know like that is my fiancé’s, mom’s boyfriend. I realized he had boomer brainrot. Sometimes, people just have different interests, and you need to find common ground. It’s easier said than done, though. Have you tried asking what movies they like and why? That always gets em going.
Personally, I don’t want to be remembered, except in the context of a few stories. I’m more worried about the ephemeral nature of information in general and the ability of people to manipulate our perception of the past. Imagine if you were well “remembered,” but someone just made everything up. That’s terrifying to me. It is better to be forgotten than misrepresented, IMO.

As a long-time fan of CN and AS, this always happens. Their stuff always gets pushed/ split between platforms like crazy. It’s a lot more common now, but they’ve always had that problem. I love their content, but damn does it make me want to sail the seas.
