11·2 days agoHa, I thought a 1Hz display was a typo until I read the article - that’s the minimum display update, not the maximum: for situations when nothing’s changing on the screen to save battery life.
8·4 days agoIt’s nowhere close to that level. The GOP/ MAGA has been eroding international trust in America for a while now, but realistically, everybody else is on the outside looking in, and even if America removed all women’s rights, including the right to vote, or annexed Panama, all that would happen would be strongly worded protests and further political isolation of America from the rest of the world.
Nobody wants to fight a war against the USA, and barring something cataclysmic like an invasion of Mexico, nobody wants to sanction the largest market in the world.
TL;DR: America would have to become much poorer or much weaker before anybody does anything.
418·6 days agoThey tried, but the last two elections were massively fraudulent, and it’s hard to have a revolution when the army is behind the regime.

As others have said, what on earth does your gender have to do with your choice of hobby? If you would like to do needlepoint but don’t because you’re worried that it’s unmanly, you’re an insecure little…
Anyway, candle making would be my hobby if one didn’t end up making candles in the process. Bread making is perfect in that sense. I love my loaves.
But how about jewellery making? Fire, molten metal, precision…

There’s a big difference between kidnapping the president of a country and kidnapping somebody who is internationally wanted and who the country in question denies harbouring.
Sure, both are violations of international law, but one is easy more serious than the other.
