I was sleeping in my parents room, on the floor, till I was embarassingly old.
Turns out I had/have Tinnitus and found the background noise of whatever show they were falling asleep to made it infinite easier to sleep.

Seems like that isn’t going to be particularly productive for anybody but russia?
You might like the various works of David Hone, a very talented and well spoken paleontologist who talks in depth about how they know what they do know, and gives several examples of poor paleontology and what they’re doing wrong.
Data labeling is a real and useful task that adds value.
It makes sense for a public figure trying to reach people. It won’t work because of the algorithm ™, but I can understand still wanting to try.
That sounds like the landlord’s now just never going to get anything fixed
…always? It was “comparable to living as a British colonial subject” prior to decolonization. It’s certainly worse now but always is a weird one.
If a transmissions company tried to spend money preparing for a disaster like this, their shareholders would sue them into the ground and lobby to make it illegal to acknowledge the existence of the sun.
IBEW bud from the other corner of the country! To be fair, I’m not at 5 years yet, but I get 4 float days, 10 vacation, 7 sick days, unsure what it’s like for normal hourly workers but as a shift worker I work any holidays on my schedule. It’s hilariously bad, I only semi-joke when I say I’d like to go on strike from my own union to make it actually work for me.
Oh, and despite working well over 400 hours of overtime, none of that translates into extra vacation time. Yet corporate is flabbergasted at poor retention rates.
Sounds hilarious. Can’t wait for my 6 8s.
…betting on who wins a chess match? A thing that absolutely happens in the betting community?
Honestly, the list of things people don’t bet on is probably shorter.
If someone with access to time travel is hunting me, the last thing I want is a device known to be associated with me speaking to every cell tower I’m near, time breaking qualities or not. I leave my phone at home and spend only cash as I take a random bus tour of the country.
Ah but you see, success is clearly a zero sum game. Even if the company is worse off than otherwise, if they fuck over their employees more than they’re fucking themselves over, it’s still a win.
You know how sand on the beach is fine, but sand in a super windy dust storm stings like hell? Insulation is fine so long as nobody is actively touching it and spewing out bits. Probably shouldn’t be able to see it but it won’t kill ya.
It is not incorrect to say the economy was doing well, nor is it wrong to say individual purchasing power was not following. “The economy” is not, nor has it ever been, tied to wages. This is a problem, Trump is the opposite of a solution. It’s the equivalent of seeing a bank robbery and nuking the bank.
I don’t think you get to play the “well you started ww2 card” when you’re trying your damndest to start ww3 lmao
The people that voted for trump don’t buy EVs tho
Eh, given how many other times cops have been way too lenient with right wing terrorists versus their left wing equivalents(and basically anyone else outwardly left wing but that’s another matter), I’m not sure that earns them any leniency here.
Correct, an officer of the law should be expected to understand safe gun handling and storage practices. Being a cop should elevate the standards you’re held to, not fucking lower them lmao.
The tax being on your income and not entirely on corporations always felt like a fairly biased distinction. If companies paid the entire income tax long before it got to you, and you were simply paid ~2/3rds as much, I feel like people’s opinions would be different despite not much changing.
