Probably pivot my time and effort into general promotion of the Lemmy-verse. Kinda hard these days when, inevitably, someone is going to come in and ask “Isn’t that the place that’s full of tankies?”

An anecdote I’ve shared before a time or two on my lemm.ee account was that I almost quit Lemmy specifically because of how insufferable the Hexbears were.

I can’t speak to whether keeping me around was good, but I genuinely only remained because I learned how to block the instance.

Got the tankie triad in there. I switched from lemm.ee too and forgot to reblock those, mentioned that term in a comment thread on .ml and the content got removed for “bigotry”. Reassures having them in there is a good idea.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. Whether the disagreement is real or not, the market manipulation will be.

You programming guys are way smarter than me. Tech writing wouldn’t be a bad pivot, but I’m a little worried companies will think genAI will do that work just as well as a writer. I’m actually looking at a pivot to HR, since I like the kind of people focused work and market research stuff they do.

Man never give that up. I left a WFH job in IT that I wasn’t really happy with, but it was fine. Left to a company where everything was better on paper. Now I work 50 hour weeks on average as salary, and don’t have time to even use my benefits that actively are better.

Never give it up. Neverrrrrrrr.
