Razer mice have some crapware that auto-installs on Windows now, through windows update. Their official driver that it downloads adds the crap and Microsoft just lets it do it all.
No such hassles on Linux though.

Not impossible, several options are still out there if you actually search for “non smart TV” on retailers’ websites.
Sceptre was one brand that made decent non-smart TVs but they seem to be vanishing off the market now. Many used ones still on ebay and other secondhand markets. Their website still shows a bunch of TV models but the retail links turn up empty.
Some do and some don’t. Some filmmakers even choose to self-fund and make their movies however they want.
Is that what I said? Nope, read it again.
The general point was the public’s perceived entitlement that their opinion matters in how movies are made, while they are not involved in any of those decisions in reality.
What’s really crazy to me is with movies like that that get drug through the social media culture war bullshit, all the people arguing about “how they should have made the movie” never seem to realize that they don’t get a choice about how anybody makes their movie. The movie-makers choose how they make their own movies, not the culture warriors or critics.
People should really back off and shut up about it all. “They should have done this, and the ending was all wrong” and so on. We don’t get a say in any of that. We just get to view the art that artists have created, and you can like it or not like it. That’s it.

I don’t give a fuck what you think about this 2 year old comment. What are you even doing?
But for the record, I was absolutely correct in what I said.

About 40% of Mississippi voters voted for Kamala Harris. Additionally, about 38% of the state’s residents are black.

Only 23% of the total USA population voted for the current Piece Of Shit. But far more just didn’t even vote so the true winner was Apathy. It’s the apathy of a population mentally beaten down by the relentless flood of mind warping bullshit. Yes, they should have known better. But I think the blame doesn’t fit squarely there.

That’s what she said

I’ve heard enough about Nextdoor that I never want to have an account for their site

Yes the far-right astroturfing is becoming very blatant lately. I’ve noticed a recent worsening trend
Not the physical mover, no. If you plug a mouse jiggler thing into your work PC and it shows up as 2 mice, then IT can see the abnormality of that anyway because we don’t use 2 mice normally.
It’s important not to plug in a USB device like that into your work PC. IT can likely see what devices are used on any system.
Instead use a physical mouse mover device that only requires power, like a USB cord plugged into a wall charger instead of the PC.

That much Big Brother spying activity is not necessary to achieve a similar goal. Combine a smart cap for pill bottles with an alarm reminder system. Smart pill bottle cap can show if the bottle has been opened that day or some such type of simple usage tracking. Alarm on the phone or watch, and/or something like that on their refrigerator for reminders.

Good point, I was just thinking about cars. Cars are what typically takes the blame for pollution, but it’s really more the big industries doing it at scale

I think this is the microphone spies coming out in the open. Google recently filed some similar creepy tech patent if I recall correctly. It’s the same scheme of recording all audio all day, and they would offer you a list of important things to remember or notes on the day.
I never believed in the past when the nay-sayers denied that them listening to our device’s microphones all day was feasible. I’d already seen too many instances of the audio spying being used to direct ad content to people. They are voice-printing us all from every available audio source. They already know when you say something in the presence of someone else’s phone.
People really have to break these chains of phone addiction, and just allowing them to do what they want on our phones.

Also on the comparison of “on fire” vs used as fuel - IDK about the emissions during the refining process, but when gas or diesel is burnt as fuel in a car, there are typically several emissions control systems reducing the pollution produced

Being drunk doesn’t change who you are or make your body perform actions that you didn’t choose (other than digestive system side effects like puking). It’s always you in control of your body, making choices to do things or to not do things. It won’t make a good person turn bad. It can make you less inhibited and make it harder to think clearly, but that’s not going to make you forget how to be decent.
Those two countries are linked and aligned together through the “Epstein” type networks. Just look at president orange hitler and how he works for them both at once.
