YES! Get to the city any way you can. If you don’t have any money see if you have something to trade or sell. Go to a homeless shelter, some have case workers who can help you. Some cities have shelters just for victims of abuse where they make sure your identity is hidden and they can help you get setup with housing and other assistance. You’ll likely have more options since you’re disabled. Your family is less likely to go to a city to find you. You deserve way better and I hope you find peace.

People are protesting because the cost of living is so high, they don’t give a fuck about HDI or GDP.

The 2010 referrendem was proposed because of high cost of living and rich white people controlling everything. Plus, were they gonna get support going forward or were they expected to become independent on their own after like 500 years of being colonized?

I’m guessing rich white people are still in control, and the protestors are mostly black. Doubt they’d send their controversial anti riot police to beat on an island full of white French people.

Fuck France for doing this. Barring demonstrations and protests, then sending some special anti riot pieces of shit to hurt people stuck on the island that France forced their ancestors to, and now their likely stuck on, is gross as fuck. I agree. We’re all just processing this and should probably take a break and come back when there is more info and we can think critically. That said, this is very scary, like, I feel like my physical safety is at risk because of this. So, not knowing what others are going through, I’m going to have some compassion for any initial reactions. People are having these same discussions face to face right now but not everyone can do that and may need to.

Good. Fuck Butt Fart Texas. Books should not be censored for words. I remember a teacher in maybe 7th grade reading a book outloud with the word fuck in it, and he just said it and kept reading, he.knew the book well. I gained a lot of respect for that teacher and listened to him because I felt like he wasn’t going to censor what he taught us.

It’s far enough that recording clear video in darker settings would be harder since most zoom lenses suck in low light. Audio would be harder to pickup as well.
