I never meant to say USA cares about it’s people, but it needs to have a sizable portion of the people at least think it does.

Most corrupt country in history though. I will absolutely need to see some source for that claim. Yes they’re a bunch of corrupt pieces of shit, but thinking they’re more corrupt than every monarchy throughout the ages? Were the ancient eqgyptians less corrupt? Or how about the current government of the Republic of Congo? Are we sure the current US administration is more corrupt than all of those? I’m not convinced.

China has a very different climate and landmass. The reason these companies keep trying to make datacenters in places where they’ll use all the water the residents need to survive, is because those places are the cheapest to build and opperate. Land in the desert is dirt-cheap (lol). China doesn’t have to build in the desert to build on cheap land, and so can build pretty much whereever they feel like it, including where water and electricity isn’t an issue.

Also, they’ve shown before that they don’t really have to give a shit about the lives of local residents. They probably (maybe) don’t want them to die, but relocation is always an option.

In the end we probably don’t know wether people are pissed about it or not, since we don’t get a lot of news from rural China.

It’s also about not being able to grow any food when everything is permanently frozen…

I generally dislike working at a shuffle. My work day is over much faster if I’m in a bit of a rush throughout. I don’t see it as me getting paid for a certain amount of work. I see it as me selling my time. Between 08:00 and 16:00, what I do during that time is up to my boss. I don’t own that time, in exchange I get my pay.

I live in a country with actual workers rights though. Might make a difference.

I like to call that place I go to in my brain when I’m not even having a thought “The Nothing Box”. The Nothing Box is where nothing happens. You climb into your little box, and it’s practically like being braindead. You don’t think, you don’t see, you don’t hear, and you don’t feel. You’re just nothing for a short little while until some asshole rips you out of your peaceful and quiet Nothing Box, complaining about you not listening, staring or whatever.

The nothing box is a magical place where you get to just chill for half a minute. Worries don’t matter, life doesn’t excist, all that is, is nothing.

Fuck it, at this point lets give China a shot. They have issues, lots of them, but Europe isn’t going to compete any time soon, and at least China doesn’t switch between telling you you’re friends, and stabbing you in the back every 4-8 years.

I’ve been told for years I’m overreacting about international politics, Fascism spreading in USA, Climate change, and lately, Fascism spreading in Europe.

I am so fucking sick of being right all the time, but I just can’t stop. Everything keeps getting worse. It’s like we’ve all adopted Russia’s political roadmap: “Everything fucking sucked, and then it got worse”.

Mentally I still feel like I’m 18. Not sure that’s ever really going to change though.

That’s a really big part of the issue to me. How many people does people here know, that are still together with their high school girlfriend/boyfriend? I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but a LOT changes throughout the 20’s.
