To be fair there’s a bit of nuance like Winnie the Pooh isn’t outright banned you can buy merch and stuff in China. My view is if I have a friend with a machine or there’s a community center or something with one I’ll absolutely use it for many projects.

But since I only sew to repair my own clothes, live somewhere fairly small, and am poor, and don’t like having lots of stuff (makes evictions more devastating), I won’t get one myself.

All of human knowledge is not encoded into academia.

Academia is heavily western biased.

Well it’s only until fairly recently by some very lucky presevations that we have larger scale evidence of feathers outside a couple species.

And most of it is based on the middle part of the feather. Not the fluffy part that would be more like clothes.
