I was in the process of applying for the SAVE program when it was blocked. I don’t know why or how but this put my payments on hold for another year. Not as good as paying it off, but still a huge help.

It’s always easier to destroy than it is to build.
Somewhere John Bolton just got an erection.
They sure are willing to waste a lot of taxpayer money making sure cops can’t get sued.
Rob Liefeld is designing clothing now?
Maybe they will have an upgraded version with a large rubber nose and a moustache.
The juvenile system was split off from the department of corrections in 2006 as a step to reform the system. The state has made extensive rules that the local operators have failed to follow. Four facilities were closed because they operated in an unacceptable manner. Plenty of other states have similar problems with juvenile detainees. We are actually trying to fix the problem.
“Well isn’t that the horse calling the kettle black”
I love this.
All five of the facilities that were closed and 4 of 5 still operating are in mostly or totally red parts of the state. It’s not Democrats working at those facilities and abusing the kids. It is Democrats working to reform or entirely eliminate the system.
I went to College about 65 miles west of Chicago (or about 1 hour driving). One weekend some friends decided to take a road trip to Maine so one friend could confess their love to someone. They left Friday after classes ended and drove nonstop, took one hour in Maine for the friend to get shot down, and then dove back. They didn’t get back until late Sunday night. That’s about 1300 miles and with a few bathroom/food stops 24 hours each way.
You skipped the “and permanent housing units” part of my comment. Shelters are a step to getting off the street. They give homeless access to information and resources to improve their position. It is in no way “ignoring the problem” like you claim. Short of singlehandedly solving poverty, what do you expect a mayor to do?
San Francisco has increased the number of shelter beds and permanent supportive housing units by more than 50% over the past six years.
Read the article before commenting next time.
Vasectomy if you don’t plan on having kids. Also consider mental healthcare. Everybody could use a little bit now and then.
It is not unusual in alimony or child support cases for someone who refuses to pay what they owe to be locked up for contempt. It is a way of compelling obedience to the law in civil cases.
Lock him up for contempt of court until he testifies.
Knew a k9 cop. He freely admitted this is how it works.
They have enabled all sorts of unconstitutional things in the last few years, so I don’t expect them to stop. Doesn’t mean it’s not unconstitutional.
It doesn’t matter if half the country wants something if it is unconstitutional.
Absolutely agree, but at some point there will still be someone reporting expenses to the government and that needs to be trustworthy info.
Well, there’s an exception to every rule.
