Curiouser and curiouser
There’s an unexpected amount of philosophical rants and theory dropping throughout the book. Welcome, but unexpected for people who go in to read an action novel.
The magas refuse to test or report, so scientists, once again fighting uphill battles, are testing regional wastewater instead to estimate
The question was can I pour oil down the drain. The “Rule of Thumb” (a general catch-all rule that plumbers use) is if it can’t rinse away with water, don’t pour it down the drain. I replied to whether you can pour olive oil down the drain. I don’t know why you started talking about washing dishes.
Nothing oily that doesn’t rinse away with water?
Yet. It can take several years to build up
Nope. Nothing oily that doesn’t rinse away completely with water. Most people forget butter and peanut butter, too.
I can’t tell if people here are pouring their grease down the drain.
The answer is don’t. “It will be fine” for the person who told you that it will be fine, but it will absolutely fail for you. You know that by now. Also that guy is lying and already had to snake his drain but won’t tell you that.
This apartment isn’t big enough for the two of us and your constant eating of beans. You know why
One of mine is in high school, and as much as I hate the confirming culture, especially because it’s led by morons and marketing, I choose the same path. I allowed my (now high school kid) to participate in all the awful crap that I would never do myself when she felt middle school pressure. She was in the popular kids group.
The caveat has been it all comes with extreme education from my end. Not demeaning or condescending. I over-preach about marketing/ads/influencers and constantly question why people make the choices they do. I question everything though. “How do you know that?” often leads back to tick tock.
In my experience, the OTHER kids are now getting smarter as they age. Mine is now able to live her life how she wants and is still with that same group , and the kids (I shit you not) look to her for purchasing advice. The vanity kinda goes away as their brains leave that dumb social hierarchy age.
Note: My kids are/were decked out in Nike. We live by the world headquarters and a good chunk of the kids’ parents work there. If that isn’t peer pressure, I dunno what is!
Except the sidewalks are too tiny so the cafe is allowed to partition a section of the street for their tables
They think they have freedom because they have guns and can blow up fireworks and have a day to show it off. Literally no other real freedoms, but it feels like freedom.
But this is exactly what he and Israel wanted to happen, right?
I got it, too, and reported it as spam. Unfortunate for some future actually important email I might get
He was a moron and extremist, but genuinely wanted to help the country
I think we can all get behind explosives as entertainment though
It’s maybe similar to English “get to the meat” of a topic?
Well, that was a bit of a stretch. Citizens United was challenging the law used by the FEC to stop their film. That law was first and foremost a law about banning advertising, money collection, and campaigning by non-campaign sources. So the Supreme Court was answering the asked question.
Yeah, but if the state is constantly working it’s ass off to stop other states from getting that federal assistance, they should go fuck themselves.
I really want, at this point, blue states to unionize this stuff on their own and let those red states deal with their own shit like they keep demanding
