Found on a lemmy.zip post. These posts all happened within an hour of each other so there is definitely some coordination happening if not outright botting.

      I’ve noticed this too, I’m pretty sure they keep an eye on people they’ve had previous run ins with. I blocked one and a few more of them presented themselves to receive their blocks, lol.

      I think they have a comm dedicated to brigading. ‘The Dunk Tank’ or something like that.

      One thing I’m confused about is I’m pretty sure I have hexbear.net instance blocked. I would think this should block all comments from hexbear NPCs also. Not sure why it isn’t.

        Nope just blocks YOU from seeing their communities. You ultimately have to block them individually.

          And even if you block them, they can still reply and downvote enmasse. You just won’t be able to see it.

            Unfortunately handling those sort of things at the server level would add a lot of extra processing over what it currently does. Which for a democratized Federated and distributed system. Would be very tough.
