[NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy] asked Boeing executive Hector Silva whether an issue like this could happen again, CNN reported. He answered “no” when asked whether he was “100 percent sure a defect will not occur tomorrow” and whether he was “100 percent sure there will never be an unauthorized removal” of a door plug.
Boeing deserves being on the hot seat, but that’s a gotcha question and she knows it. Anyone who says they’re 100% sure of anything, especially in engineering, is either incredibly naive or a liar.
Boeing executives need to see prison time.
