I canceled Prime as soon as they announced they were adding ads and I let them know that was the reason. Fuck them. We moved to streaming because it wasn’t cable, now these fuck heads are trying to turn streaming into cable. Capitalism is the fucking worst.
Funny enough, cable started without ads either.
I only have it because I have prime for shopping. If they were separate fees, I would not have streaming.
If you live near a regional transportation hub it probably won’t make a difference on your delivery times. We dropped prime when our “1 day” deliveries kept turning in 3 day deliveries and never saw a difference.
And honestly a lot of the stuff I used to get on there isn’t even cheaper on Amazon anymore. Half the time if I check the manufacturer website they’re having a sale or have no shipping costs or cover returns longer, something like that. YMMV, you know your situation and needs better than me.
You may as well buy from Aliexpress if you are shopping on Amazon. The only difference is the price and the transit time.
…and the fact that if you’re straight-up scammed on Ali, no one cares? Whereas Amazon always refunds with no questions asked…

I actually get Prime TV series from the high seas even though I’m subscribed to Prime. It’s simply better UX this way.
It’s shocking how bad their ui is. I don’t get it.
They’re all really bad. Because every one of them, despite being a paid service, wants to cram the same content down your throat over and over again.
A lot of them have vast libraries of actually interesting content but you’d never know it because the only way you can find them is in the search function.
They want to jam sports down my throat over and over, even though I don’t give a single fuck about watching sports of any kind.
I appreciate being notified of the newest content, but also I don’t need to be reminded every single time I open the app, or watch a preview every time I start or finish a completely different movie or show. If I scroll by it 6 times, I’m probably not interested…
Also 99% of the time I do not want to watch your recap of the last episode, or a preview of the next episode, I don’t care about BTS crap, I don’t want to watch the intro again when I’m on the 37th episode, and I don’t want to watch the credits. So maybe instead of a “skip x” button, just add a “watch x” button? I can’t imagine I’m alone on this, or even in the minority. Also your timestamps are fucked, so even if “skip x” actually appears, I often have to skip forward 10-20 more seconds for some reason?
Why when I finish a show does it disappear from the UI entirely?
Why are there no filters by genre? Should this not be an absolute basic function of a media library?

Citation on the first paragraph 😂. Both are definitely weak points. Personally I just yolo torrents on my own IP. The only thing that happens here is an angry letter in the mail anyway. Only time I ever got one was when I redeployed Medusa and I oopsed and had public trackers enabled from the default config.
