Unfortunately, the current German government is pretty right wing, which makes their actual nazi party’s win in one of their states that much more alarming.

The current German government already arms and supports two Nazi regimes committing genocides. If AfD were to take over and keep their promise to end German support for one of those Nazi regimes, they would only be 50% as Nazi as the current German government.

Most NATO chiefs of staff, upper rank personnel, were pulled directly from former “definitely rehabilitated” Nazi ranks after WW2. Adolf Heusinger, Hans Speidel, Karl Schnell, Dr. Eberhard Taubert (literal Goebbels co-worker), etc. etc.

It should come as no surprise that Germany is pushing hard for other NATO members to increase military spending or why they would deepen integration with the fascist US regime.

The Reich no longer needs a cultivated clean image after years of running cover after the horror of WW2.
