They are so beautiful with their eyes open or closed! This close-up portrait was a big crop because I was a bit of a distance away.
I wish I could see them as often as I do the Great Horned Owl; they are pretty secretive here in Las Vegas. Do you get to see them often where you live?

Owls are a little harsh, being predators, and not so bright, but how anyone could see a face like this and not melt a little inside seems impossible!
