I realized this is why I can’t be editor on my own creative writing. With hundreds of pages of work, it’s very easy for the writer to already know what they intended to say, and interpret that from the page on a quick glance.

I’ve been deliberately misspelling Untied States since Trump has been back in power. It often goes unnoticed

I got a T shirt eons ago ($7, couldn’t stop myself) that said “I have a dig bick/You that read wrong/You read that wrong too”. I can’t wait to find a younger shithead to gift it to now that I’m old enough that I’m expected to be vaguely dignified.

I don’t consider a test writer being an insufferable pedantic asshole to be any kind of reflection of my own abilities.

“Oh, you didn’t consciously turn off 3.5 billion years of evolved pattern recognition that functions correctly 99.9% of the time for the purpose of getting my disingenuous gotcha question right, on a rigidly timed test designed to put you under intense time pressure? lol”

I’ll tell you where you can stick your test.
