- The size and strength of the cockroaches also allows them to carry cameras and miniature medical injectors to deliver supervised emergency care to people trapped in collapsed buildings, or caves
- Researchers say the long-term vision is to deploy swarms of specialised cyborg insects to disaster sites, each performing complementary role

Sorry to disappoint, but these aren’t just devices made to look like roaches. They’re roaches fitted with remote navigation and some medical supplies.

Was leading the computer vision team for the robotics club at my uni for this one. Really interesting task; a bunch of subproblems related to sending drones like this out.
I bet Zipline has the state of the art in this kind of thing.
