IDK how gravity or topology works.

    that’s assuming Earth has uniform gravity, which is not the case either locally (due to changes in density of the composition of the earth) or due to earth bulging at the equator

        Less gravity at the equator than the poles because of a combo of the earths bulge and spin

        And less gravity at altitude

        Granted the difference between pole and equator is like 0.5% and the difference at the peak of Mount Everest and sea level is even less, I just find gravimetry fascinating since I was a kid watching Mythbusters
