The unicode explanation simply says “SIX POINTED STAR WITH MIDDLE DOT” (very helpful) (not)
and the official chart has an arrow to the star of david and that’s it https://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F300.pdf
It’s an ancient symbol used in a number of religions with varied meanings. In uni-code it follows the crystal ball emoji 🔮 so I think it was likely just included as a common spiritual symbol many people might want to use.
