We all have a relationship to at least one language. We are monolingual, bilingual, multilingual; we strive for objectivity or expressiveness. Is language diversity good? or does it create more linguistic barriers? Does different languages change our perception of reality, or does study make us see clearly? Does world languages help bring us together, or make it easier for might to manipulate us all?

We all have relationship to languages; and so the question is: How do we relate to them? How should society relate to them?

What is the role of languages? How do we see whether languages moves in the right or wrong direction? Is there a right or wrong direction?

I strive for clarity in everyday communication, but reserve the right to play when ambiguity is easily tolerable. I try to make life easier for second-language speakers in English and I appreciate it when they do the same for me in their language.
