A security researcher has discovered that Microsoft Edge will load all your stored passwords into memory in plaintext at startup, making it easy for malware to scrape those passwords.

    I feel it may be worse than using your notes app.

    A malicious attack doesn’t know which notes app, nor the filename.

    This has every browser opening the exact same passwords.txt in the root of the C drive.
