    What you fail to realize is that this is a species scale escape room. It’s not really for individuals to escape by themselves. All things considered humanity is on pace for figuring it out if we would just stop bickering and hurting each other. I wish we would so I can gtfo lol.

      Yeah, leaving Earth might happen, but leaving the Solar system is a whole other feat. It’s more likely that we’ll be colonizing the solar system, before we’ll ever leave it.

        Well yeah. Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.

        Until we figure out faster than light travel, it’ll be a bit of a trip just getting to the next system over

          Yeah, and if we ever do figure out FTL travel, we then have to find out how to stay in the same “time” afterwards, since you travel forward in time at light speed.

        For space colonization, it’s usually said to go big or stay home. You’re not going to send a dinky probe to another star, you’re sending something the size of the death star with the population of a small country, at least.
