minus-squareOlap@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·6 个月前No. I don’t. Fingers crossed for arch supporting for many years
minus-squareKlajan@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·6 个月前I really gotta double check on my laptop, but I am using the nvidia-580xx-dmks aur package with the latest kernel (should be 6.18) without Problems. But then again a lot of the “normal” HW acceleration is handled by the igpu there.
minus-squaremilk@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·6 个月前Yeah I thought the whole idea of dkms was so that you aren’t locked to one kernel?
minus-squareKlajan@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·6 个月前Thought so too, you compile the driver against the kernel. But I’m not sure about the exact mechanics. I’ve always used the dmks Nvidia driver, so switching to the 580xx aur wasn’t a problem
