A German hacker known as "Martha Root" dressed as a pink Power Ranger and deleted a white supremacist dating website live onstage This happened during the recent CCC conference. Martha had infiltrated the site, ran her own AI chatbot to extract as much information from users as possible, and downloaded every profile. She also uncovered the owner of the site. She has published all of the data. #CCC https://media.ccc.de/v/39c3-the-heartbreak-machine-nazis-in-the-echo-chamber Leak data: https://okstupid.lol/

Best “tech demo” of the whole congress.

Also check out okstupid.lol where you can look at the profiles that were present on the site.

The original presentation is german speaking. There’s human-produced english translation in a separate audio channel, thanks to volunteers aka angels.

Use the video settings, ie gear icon, to select the language.

I love that the websites and apps were done by Indian contractors. Nothing speaks “white power” stronger than being incapable of doing anything productive without non-Europeans helping out.

The website wasn’t working for me earlier, but the wayback machine does have an archive of 6,640 users out of the 8,178 that seem to be on the website. Note that the wayback machine archive includes emails, while the current published version does not seem to.

OkStupid works for me here, though lemme check whether it was just cached on my end.

Edit: Nope, the Website is accessible, it just takes a while to load.

Oo, I’ll have to watch that then. Didn’t really stand out to me in the first pass.

Edit: Peak live demo at the end
