    A lot of their rhetoric and stylistic choice strongly suggest they are not russian (outside of perhaps some marginal edgelords).

    • An organized attempt at promoting russian propaganda wouldn’t reference rhetoric such as “North Korea is a vanguard against imperialism” or “You’re a fucking capitalist liberal”. That’s counterproductive to the goal of spreading russian propaganda narratives as it makes them look unhinged to the target market of median US/EU citizens.
    • A russian who is a committed supporter of putin and genocidal imperialism would not reference the USSR in the way the tankies do. One of the senior ML mods constantly spams some flawed study about Soviet caloric intake being of better quality than in the US in the 80s. No putin supporter (or any russian for that matter) would say something so stupid.
