Snowflake is a system that allows users to circumvent web censorship by helping them access the Tor network through a network of volunteers who act as intermediaries by providing their own internet connection. It works by connecting the volunteer with the person in need, creating an entry connection to the Tor network disguised as a simple voice or video call using the WebRTC protocol. To assist, the volunteer only needs to install an extension on their Firefox or Chrome browser and activate it while browsing normally.

Yep, I run one in my Firefox, and I just leave it open 24-7.

Nope. Snowflake has been around for a while. I’ve been running my node for at least a year now
