      It’s so frustrating when you try to block politics from your feed to keep the anxiety down, and people hit you with YSK/TIL TRUMP DID THIS HORRIBLE THING

          I’m well enough informed, I work for one of the oldest independent newspapers in my country.
          I don’t need US politics billionaire soap operas shoved in my face when I’m scrolling through memes to relax.
          Lemmy isn’t even a good news source. The (political) posts that make it to the top aren’t nuanced or informative, they’re mostly ragebait and propaganda.
          Propaganda for a good cause, granted, but mostly preaching to the choir here.

      mildlyinteresting, TIL, YSK , etc, definitely follow different rules here, seen lots TILs with stuff that happened same day
